1. General Information

1.1 About the Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") governs the processing of personal data collected through the website https://dropinblog.com, the related domain names (e.g., https://app.dropinblog.com), software products, and services (collectively, "DropInBlog"). The Privacy Policy does not cover any third-party websites, applications, software, products or services that integrate with DropInBlog or are linked to from DropInBlog.

1.2 Owner of DropInBlog. DropInBlog is owned and operated by Function Company LLC, DBA DropInBlog having an address at 30 N Gould St, Ste 24467, Sheridan, WY 82801, the United States of America ("we," "us," or "our").

1.3 Our role as a data controller and data processor. We act in the capacity of a data controller and, from time to time, a data processor with regard to the personal data processed through DropInBlog in terms of the applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our role depends on the specific situation in which personal data is handled by us, as explained in detail below:

  • Data controller. We are responsible for the collection of your personal data through DropInBlog and its further use. We make decisions about the types of personal data that should be collected from you and purposes for which such personal data should be used. Therefore, we act as a data controller with regard to the personal data collected directly through DropInBlog (e.g., when you send us an inquiry or make a payment).   • Account and Free Trials. When you register an account or book a Free Trial, we collect your first name, email address, and password. If you use Shopify, you will be asked to login to your Shopify account. We use such data to register and maintain your account, enable your access to DropInBlog, provide you with the requested Free Trial and other services, contact you, if necessary, and maintain our business records. The legal bases on which we rely are "performing a contract with you" and "pursuing our legitimate business interests" (i.e., analyze, grow, and administer DropInBlog).
  • Contact form. When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your blog URL, name, email address, and any information that you decide to provide in your message. We use the said information to contact you, provide you with the requested information, set up a contract with you, and maintain our business records.
  • Inquiries. When you contact us by email, we collect your full name, email address, and any information that you decide to include in your message. When you contact us through our chat, we collect any information that you decide to include in your message. We use such data to respond to your inquiries.
  • Payment processing. When you make a payment, we collect your full name, card number, expiration date, and security code. We use such data to process your payments and keep our business records.
  • IP address. When you use DropInBlog, we or our third-party analytics service providers collect your IP address. We use your IP address to analyze the technical aspects of your use of DropInBlog, prevent fraud and abuse, and ensure the security of DropInBlog.
  • Newsletter. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your full name, email address, and position. We use such information to deliver you our newsletter.
  • BlogVoice (Text-to-Speech). When you use our BlogVoice feature, we process your text content through our text-to-speech service provider to convert your blog content into audio. We do not store your audio content on third-party servers beyond what is necessary for processing.
  • Cookies. When you use DropInBlog, we collect your cookie-related data. For more information on our cookie usage practices, please refer to the section "Cookies" below.

2.3 Sensitive data. We do not collect or have access to any special categories of personal data from you, unless you decide, at your own discretion, to provide such data to us.

2.4 Processing of the Service Data. When you submit, upload or create the Service Data through DropInBlog, we process the Service Data as requested by you in order to provide you with the requested services and perform our contractual obligations.

2.5 Refusal to provide personal data. If you refuse to provide us with your personal data when we ask you to, we may not be able to perform the requested operation and you may not be able to use the full functionality of DropInBlog or get our response.

3. How Do We Communicate With You?

3.1 Commercial communication. If we have your email address, we may, from time to time, send you information about DropInBlog. You will receive our newsletters in the following instances:

  • If we receive your express ("opt-in") consent to receive marketing messages; or

We retain your data for 6 months after termination unless requested by you, in which case it can be removed immediately. 4.2 Retention as required by law. In certain cases, we are required by law to store your personal data for a certain period of time (for example, for accounting or business records purposes). Thus, we may keep your personal data for the time period stipulated by the applicable law and securely delete it as soon as the required storage period expires.

5. How Do We Share and Disclose Your Data?

5.1 Disclosure to data processors. From time to time, your personal data is disclosed to our service providers with whom we cooperate (our data processors). For example, we share your personal and non-personal data with entities that provide certain technical support services to us, such as hosting and email distribution services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5.3 Disclosure of technical (non-personal) data. Your non-personal data may be disclosed to third parties for any purpose.

5.4 Legal requests. If we are contacted by a public authority, we may need to disclose information about you to the extent necessary for pursuing a public interest objective, such as national security or law enforcement.

5.5 Successors. In case our company or DropInBlog are sold partly or fully, we will provide your personal data to a purchaser or successor entity and request that the successor handle your personal data in line with this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any changes of the data controller.

7.3 Requests regarding the Service Data. If we receive a request from a data subject asking to exercise data subject's rights with regard to the Service Data, we will forward such a request to the respective data controller (our client).

7.4 Complaints. If you would like to launch a complaint about the way in which we process your personal data, we kindly ask you to contact us first and express your concerns. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7.5 Non-discrimination. We do not discriminate against you if you decide to exercise your rights.

8. Non-Personal Data

8.1 What non-personal data do we collect? In order to analyze DropInBlog, we automatically collect certain technical non-personal data about your use of DropInBlog. Such non-personal data does not allow us to identify you. The non-personal data includes the following information:

  • The browser that you use;
  • Your operating system;

It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you have appropriate rights to all content on your posts that are using AI Voice.

12.2 Forbidden Text-to-speech Uses. You may not use our text-to-speech features:

  • To deceive or intentionally misinform people;
  • For the purpose of false advertising;
  • To claim to be from any person, company, government body, or entity without explicit permission;
  • To impersonate any person without explicit permission;
  • To enhance the authority or credibility of content in connection with financial, health, legal, political, or spiritual matters;
  • To create, incite, or disguise hate speech, discrimination, defamation, terrorism, or acts of violence;
  • In applications that are sexually explicit;
  • To exploit or manipulate children;
  • To make unsolicited phone calls, bulk communications, posts, or messages;
  • To disguise policy positions or political ideologies; or
  • To disseminate unattributed content or misrepresent sources.
