Kartra is one of the most cost-effective online business solutions on the market today. But that doesn’t mean that it’s always the most suitable choice. In some cases, there’s simply no need to invest in an all-in-one sales and marketing platform.
Kartra might be overkill for someone who just wants to experiment with doing business online or is about to start an online business with no prior experience. For beginners, it would be better and cheaper to go with a regular site builder paired with a few simple, necessary integrations. If you won’t use the majority of the features and tools Kartra offers (and it offers a lot), then why pay for it at all?
But if your online business is your bread and butter, if you’ve gained some experience in the universe of online sales and marketing, or if your business is growing to the point you really feel like you need an integrated, all-encompassing business solution with exquisite marketing tools, then trying out Kartra is definitely worth it. It’s perfect for scaling your business and taking it to the next level.
To give you a better idea of what I mean, in the next few sections I’ll go over Kartra’s pricing system and talk at length about the available pricing plans along with the features they offer. Hopefully, by the end of this read, it’ll become clear that Kartra really is one of the most, if not the most, cost-effective SaaS products for sales and marketing purposes.

Kartra Pricing Plans
Does Kartra Have a Free Plan?
Kartra doesn’t have a free plan, which is only natural considering how much it offers in terms of tools and quality. There’s technically not a free trial, either, but you do have the option to give it a test ride before you decide whether it’s a good match for your business or not.
Kartra offers a 14-day trial period for the symbolic price of $1.
The trial period can be extended to 30 days with a little trick. If you visit Kartra’s official site and just look around without taking any concrete actions, Kartra’s AI system will respond with a one-time-only offer of a 30-day trial period. If you do decide to try it out, you’ll automatically get subscribed to the Silver plan, but you can change plans later. Speaking of, Kartra’s plans are seamlessly switchable, and also, clients can cancel their subscription at any time. If you cancel during the time period of 30 days from your first payment, you’re entitled to a refund.
Kartra’s Pricing Plans
So, how much does Kartra cost? Let’s take a look at the four Kartra plans:
- Starter: $99/month (billed monthly) or $79/month (billed annually)
The Starter plan includes:

Starter is mainly aimed at small businesses. The relatively low cost means low investment risk, so it wouldn’t be a colossally bad investment even if things went south.
This plan is good for clients who don’t see themselves as tech-savvy users. There are a lot of training materials that help clients get the hang of Kartra in no time allowing them to run their business without any hiccups.
- Silver: $199/month (billed monthly) or $149/month (annually)
The Silver plan includes:
- 12,500 leads
- 3 custom domains
- unlimited emails, bandwidth, pages, videos, membership sites, team members, help desks, and products
- Kartra Agency
Silver is great for growing businesses - small-to-medium size businesses that are well on their way to success.
- Gold: $299/month (monthly) or $229/month (annually)
The Gold plan includes:
- 25,000 leads
- 5 custom domains
- everything else found in Silver
Gold works best for ever-growing and well-established medium-size businesses that have reached a period of stabilization.
- Platinum: $499/month (monthly) or $379/month (annually)
The Platinum plan includes:
- 50,000 leads
- 10 custom domains
- everything else from Silver/Gold
Platinum is for large businesses whose growth is fast-paced and requires a lot of work to manage day-to-day operations smoothly. Generally speaking, both Gold and Platinum work best if there’s a lot going on with your online business.
It’s also worth noting that the current pricing system is a great improvement compared to the previous. There used to be a Diamond plan, but it no longer exists. Luckily, there still are better options that continue to be offered by Kartra, like their enterprise-level packages. They’re very flexible and can be customized according to a company's particular needs. They’re not listed on Kartra’s site, so for all enterprise arrangements, interested firms have to contact Kartra's support center.
Differences Between Plans
The differences between the pricing plans are almost exclusively in terms of the quantity of the same features. Almost every plan contains all of the features that the other plans have, but a lower-tier plan has a smaller size of what a more expensive plan contains. This is unlike some of the other sales and marketing platforms, like ClickFunnels, where you have to upgrade to get access to features that are otherwise locked away.
The only exception to this rule is the Starter plan, where there’s one feature missing that’s a part of all the other plans: Kartra Agency. However, since this is something you need only when you’re running someone else’s business, it makes sense for it to be absent from a plan titled Starter.
We’ve already seen that the prices are different for a monthly subscription and an annual subscription. Giving discounts for a subscription on an annual basis is a widespread practice with web platforms today. Kartra follows the same practice. Its discounts go up to 25%. So, with the annual subscription, each month you save:

Of course, not all Kartra features were listed above. Here I’ll look at some tools that all Kartra plans share, just so you can see that Kartra really does offer a good value for the money.

All parts of a Kartra site are fully integrated and are constantly communicating with each other. Kartra Leads is, in essence, an AI-based analytics tool that helps you learn and understand your visitors’ behavioral patterns. This is one of the rare areas where Kartra doesn’t exactly excel.
Kartra has blogging templates in its offer, so in a way, it provides some basic functionalities for creating blog posts. However, as it was created with different priorities in mind, it’s not exactly well suited for blogging purposes. Since it’s open for third-party integrations, here, your best bet would be to use DropInBlog. It takes no time to add it to your Kartra site, so using DropInBlog for blogging purposes should definitely be a no-brainer.
So, how much does Kartra cost? Is it expensive, cheap, or somewhere in the middle?
At first glance, it may look like it’s expensive. But, upon closer examination, it turns out that Kartra really is a good value-for-money platform. As a fully-integrated sales and marketing solution that offers a host of options, high-quality features, and useful tools for a single account, Kartra is very reasonably priced.
Actually, this is an understatement. With all the available functionalities, it costs much less than if you combined individual apps and platforms to get everything that Kartra gives you. So in the end, Kartra can save you money. It’s a smart and worthwhile investment.
